It's nice to have the choice!
Only got a Co-op and a Tesco where we are, so getting onto the mainland means a scout around all the supermarkets, including Lidl and Aldi - some of their foodstuffs knock the established shops into a cocked hat.0 -
I like to use either to be honest. Tomorrow I'd be popping in bothThe Very Right Honourable Lady Tarry of the Alphabetty thread-I just love finding bargains and saving moneyI love to travel as much as I can when I canLife has a way to test you, it's how you deal with this that matters0

I never go to Asda any more, also their grocery delivery service was terrible, always a lot of items that didn't come, meaning I had to go out to the shops anyway. I prefer Lidl, but it has to be the Preston one, not the Blackpool one, it just isn't the same, not very nice in my opinion, anything I can't get there I will go to Morrisons for as it's the closest.0

I prefer Aldi. its cheap and about 5 minutes away from my house
. Also good range of drink

Aldi Lidl Netto - all such unpleasant messy grubby places, with long queues and few checkouts - on the odd occasion I venture into one of them (can't tell the difference) I come out feeling I could use a shower! Probably being unfair to Netto as I can't actually recall entering one in recent years.
That's such a shame - the Aldi that's local to me is always clean, tidy and the staff are always really helpful!
I've been doing my weekly shopping (due tonight) in Adsa, but I'm going to go to Aldi THEN to Asda. This should vary when I'm buying and hopefully save me a few pennies!!

Aldi. We have another new store opening at the end of February. The staff are always friendly and the stores clean. I can't believe a dirty store would be allowed. Netto seems very untidy compared to Aldi but so does the Co-op.0

I would think that any premises used to supply food would have been regularly inspected... no difference whether it is Mark & Spencers or Netto!Personally I like the Lidl at Preston, I can't say I have ever noticed it being dirty, I have never been into Netto so I can't comment. I think what some people object to is the more 'warehouse' look of the German supermarkets, but I don't think a supermarket needs to be overly regimented shelf-wise to be a good place to shop in. At least in Lidl and Aldi they don't seem to feel the need to move all the shelves around regularly, that drives me crazy in Tesco!

yes you are correct, places who sell food do need to be clean, the stores get inspected by the council0 -
Hi where we live there are various stores but I prefer Asda. I do my online grocery shopping with them. I have found them a bit cheaper than Sainsburys. I find the website very easy to get around and the drivers always ring me before they arrive. Very pleasant and polite and the shopping is always exactly right, nothing missing. If I found an item missing then I would just ring up customer services and speak to someone as mistakes can happen and we are all human after all.:) We do not have an Aldi here at the moment. I even went onto the Asda direct website and ordered quite a lot of spring tops and a skirt and little things plus a pair of shoes and some baby items, and was delighted with the prices and they will carry me through the spring.Very reasonable prices too. Lots of lovely cute baby stuff as well.
On the point about stores being dirty, I have never ever been in a shop that is dirty or that made me feel I need a shower coming out of it. Never.Do a little kindness every day.;)0
