    Gold and Silver coins
Gold and silver are grossly unsuitable investment choices for a no risk brief. Things that bounce up and down like a yo-yo don't fit a no risk requirement.

1815VIL, for accounts see the Banking and Saving tab near the top of the screen.
  • If you are a higher-rate taxpayer, are looking at medium term saving (at least) and think that inflation may rise from its current low level you might want to consider 3 or 5 year National Savings Index-linked certificates. It's by no means a done deal, but some people think that the measures being taken by the government in response to the recesssion are likely to stoke up inflation in a few years time. With these Certificates there is no risk to your capital, but the return is low if inflation stays low.

In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.

What about all the great things they plan that go tits up?

Is it a plan or an accident?
