Gold and silver are grossly unsuitable investment choices for a no risk brief. Things that bounce up and down like a yo-yo don't fit a no risk requirement.Gold and Silver coins

If you are a higher-rate taxpayer, are looking at medium term saving (at least) and think that inflation may rise from its current low level you might want to consider 3 or 5 year National Savings Index-linked certificates. It's by no means a done deal, but some people think that the measures being taken by the government in response to the recesssion are likely to stoke up inflation in a few years time. With these Certificates there is no risk to your capital, but the return is low if inflation stays low.0
