    Hi,
Are you a member of Freecycle? I've noticed that people in my area often offer suitable cardboard boxes on there. You could always try requesting some.
    Good luck!

Also try shops in your area as most have lots of packaging to get rid of and they have to pay to do that so would welcome you taking them off their hands
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155

Wine merchants often have smallish boxes which are a great size for books and other heavy objects.
If you give them warning shops of all types are usually more than happy to hand over boxes as they have to pay to have them removed, one way or another.
For extra large boxes for duvets etc try electrical retailers eg Currys or PC World

I worked in Tesco over xmas and gave a few peeps who asked boxes. You have to catch the staff BEFORE they have finished emptying the boxes as we flat pack them straight after to put back on the trolley (unless you want to take the flat packed ones and tape them back yourself I suppose).

Try the crisp aisle, that's where I worked and they have some huge boxes there! Just grab someone you see stacking crisps and say excuse me would it be ok if I could please have that box after you've finished with it. :)

If you have a small convenience store in the area like a Spar or Londis, ask them when they get a delivery and ask if they'd keep the boxes for you to pick up? Or visit when they get their delivery.

Normally the stores just compact them to recycle but are happy to give them away.

Printers, copy shops and office supplies stores are good for smallish but strong boxes with lids. Usually they seem to have an abundance of them and are only too happy to offload them.
  • if u want boxes go to your local fruit n veg shop.i get lots from mine there great for packing.

Try Matalan in Bristol early morning before they flatten them for recycling. You can ask in store or go to the Delivery area at the back of the store.
    Good luck
  • Not free I know - but I think it was only last week that Lidl were doing some removal boxes for £2 or £3 - might be worth a look cos they're nice and big and they looked strong.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
