However, even with system problems, you would need to renew your claim every year. And with the renewal form you would have the statement of circumstances to check.
Hi, i didn`t recive any renewal form at all.they just keep paying me the money.
i`ll call the menagers on monday and see what they have to say.
BIG THANK YOU to all of you for advice.

From what I can gather the OP is married/partner with one child.
The limit for WTC (joint claim) is just under £17500.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Hi, i have called them today and been told all complain has to be done in writing. i`ll prepare letter today.
They have told me that they do have a problem on the system with my files, so thats might be the case of my working tax credit.
thanks again0 -

It's not based on the current tax year's earnings, but on the previous one (or two). I know someone who was on £30k, but was eligible!!! No kids!0 -
Hi it`s my first complain and don`t realy know how to write it. is this ok?
Dear Sir/Madam Complaints Manager
On 10 of February I have received a letter reg. tax credits payments. As I can see the payments for Working Tax Credit are paid for couple of months back. As I have been informed with my circumstances I should receive working tax credit together with chilled tax credit for a long time. I had only received chilled tax credit since I have made an application. On the tax credit award dated 14 November 2005 it says I do not qualify for working tax credit. I didn’t know how all the credits were given so I didn’t complain about this. At that time I was with my partner, had a chilled and was on 15400 pounds a year and working at least 40 h a week.
By calling couple of times to the tax credit helpline I have found out you ware having problems with my files on your system as been told by the customer service workers over the phone. One of the workers said she can see that my money was stopped long time ago and I’m not receiving any money right now. I had explained her that the money is paid to me every month and then she checked something else and could see the problem.
Every year I should get a full award with all of my details. With this I should also get a checklist to go through to make sure I have checked the full details of the award.
I also should get an annual declaration which shows my full details. I should be given a "Statement of Circumstance" where I supposed to make sure is correct.
I had no way of knowing that it was incorrect - not having had any award notices until my friend (work partner) get working tax credit. That’s when I realize I should be given WTX from beginning.
I look forward to hearing from you and to a resolution of this problem. Please contact me at the above address or by phone ...0 -
When I called them last time I have found out they had a problem on my file as they told me they have a note my payments been stopped in 2005. I have told them I’m getting chilled tax credit right now so they checked payments details and that was ok. So some part of they system wasn’t updated and some was. Thomas
It sounds to me as though there was a technical problem with your claim early on and that your claim has been dealt with manually and you have been receiving manual payments. You need to make an appointment with your nearest HMRC Enquiry center so that a member of staff can look at your award to find out what has been happening and if necessary help you dispute your claim. If they can't help insist that your case be referred to a Tax credit expert for review. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. i`ve posted letter today.

I would still make an appointment at the Enquiry center. It won't do any harm and might give a better idea of what's going on whilst you wait for a reply to your letter. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
