you can get more than face value

You could also only get 1p for it if you want to consider highly unlikely scenarios.

You seem to be spoiling for an argument for some reason.

Renewal for AA inc. Relay and joint membership was due and they wanted £130! We took advamtage of an offer last year and didn't pay this, but do have a DB set up.

Phoned up an said no way. So not to get into a sales pitch simply said I am now covered with my car insurance (which I am not).

Lady reduced it to £77 and gave me the weekend to think about it! She did fumble a bit with her words and it seemed that they offer different discounts depending on your reason for leaving. Car insurance seems to give a good discount.

i rang and they blankly refused to match previous years' prices. i rang a few days later and asked again, and this time got it down from £127 (joint relay) to £77, then £75, and then the £73 i paid last year. in retrospect, i was pretty stupid and could have forced it even lower. annoyed about this 75% off thing though...

Bl;imey, they must have been so relieved when I rang them back in January toa ask them to match the price they were offering online (£108 for relay + full works) when my renewal for identical service was going to be £122.
Now frantically saving up my Tesco vouchers so I can go with RAC next year.....

ive had no reply to my email
so ive cancelled dd for next months renewal and i think i have enough tesco vouchers lol
i may ring them in a week or so to see what they say
  • My wife had got a quote from Green Flag for £67.50. Spoke to the AA yesterday and the lowest they would go was £100, said no I'll cancel, she accepted it with no struggle. My renewal would have been £127.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Hubby got the 75% off yesterday quoting FORD.
He took out the top deal, I think around £45 as he said it will only cost around 90p per week???
