If a fat person can fit in a Ka, I don't see why a child seat couldn't :)

Thanks everyone, will nip into mothercare and see what they can suggest, failing that I will try ford, we also have a citroen picasso- the one citroen reccomended was stupidly expensive compared to the isofix one we ended up buying which I guess is why I hadnt even considered asking ford..doh!!!
    thanks

  • Hi, we have a ford Ka and our car seat fits fine if you sit on it whilst tightening the straps, there is very little movement at all and it was fitted by toys r us. Its a Maxi cosi priori and its been a great little car seat but you do have to make an effort to tighten it well. You wouldn't want to keep taking it out if you didn't have to!

    Another vote for Britax!

Their web site has a great fitting guide that will show you quite clrearly what will/won't fit, and even which seat in the car would be best to fit it to.

My wife has a Ka and the child seat she has in it has a big "foot" that, after fitting the seat with the seatbelt, is pushed down into the seat by a lever. This insures there is no movement. I'll see if I can find out the model if you want.

By the way, if you happen to live in the East Anglia/Cambridgeshire area, there's a great baby superstore in Peterborough called Kiddicare. They have a large showroom, well trained staff that can answer all your questions and will even fit any seats you're interested in, into your car for you to see if they fit and show you how to do it.
The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.

If you could find the model that would be great, have been to kiddicare in the past when we were kitting out for our two little ones but as we live about 50miles away its quite a trip just for one item----but they were very good sorting out the car seats when we bought them before
    thanks
