I am sooooooooo close to signing up for Virgin mobile's £8.50 per month deal. Twice I've got as far as making the first month's payment and stopped. I've checked my PAYG useage and I loaded up
£10 beg. Nov,
£10 29 Dec
£5 20 Jan
£5 12 Feb
so £8.50 per month is what I'm spending at the moment anyway.....I wouldn't use the 100 minutes because I never call anyone and I guess it would give me the freedom to text a bit more if I wanted to (but I only text OH to say 'dinner ready', 'I suppose the taxi service can come and get you' or replies to Len's mad ramblings or pervy jokes!)
If I choose the Nokia that come with it, I can have web access for 30p per day if used, which would be great for any train journeys to DFW meets......
Not sure.........
Would you save on your house phone by using the 100 minutes?
I'm on Orange contract with unlimited texts and loads of minutes. It costs but does save me as both my daughters are on mobiles only.0 -
I'm doing a 3 course meal for OH and he's had chocolates (done very MSE as half price from the Thorntons Christmas sale!) and a card left on his doorstep this morning (although he opened the door as I was trying to make a getaway!). The menu and time of dinner were on a sheet inside the card. I know he never bothers but I don't want to give up

I very, very rarely use my house phone, it's almost not worth the line rental other than being a way to contact me or, I guess an emergency number to call me or me to call out. I struck a deal with Virgin (I 'threatened' to leave) and was on the free calls to landlines anytime deal, but that ended so I'm on free calls at weekends to landlines. If my phone bill is over £2 a month I get narked!"Stay Wonky":D

Afternoon Everyone
Bookie - not sure about dongles, is Numpty still about he's much more technical tham me (although that wouldn't take much :rotfl: )
BB - you may find that you would use those £100 mins, I'm on Orange, with lots of free minutes & unlimited texts & internet access included - I've also got what Orange call "magic numbers" so my most regular calls I make are free. I also find the my landline bill nearly every quarter is rental only.
I didn't get any typical valentines fare today but I'd already had a very pleasent afternoon on Wednesday& have had a lovely chat this morning

Well wow im shocked, my DH who normally only displays shows of selfishness, laziness and self absorbtion, has organised to take me out tonight!!
Not only has he booked a table in a very nice restaurant ( and put away the money to pay for it which is nothing short of amazing ), he has booked us into the VIP suite at the cinema afterwards to watch slumdog millionaire.
All this on top of organising a babysitter, which I didnt even know he was capable of.
I actually went upstairs to check to see if my real husband was in still in bed where he usually is on a Sat morn.
Very very strange goings on in our house today!!0 -
