My son has cream for his face that has bleach in it and, although he has a beautiful spot-free complexion, he has ruined loads of towels. Does anyone know whether I could successfully dye them or would the bleach stains still take the colour differently?

I'd be inclined to bleach the whole towel first to get the background an even colouring, but there might well be some help on the Dylon site:-

i would like to dye a couple of pairs of work trousers and a work skirt back to black. looked in tesco tonight and the dyes were £3.99. i thought this seemed quite expensive. does anyone know where on the high st it might be cheaper. dont feel confident enough to do a web order as i am not 100% sure that i will order th correct stuff.

    many thanks

ok, look at the label inside the clothing, it should tell you the fabric content, ie 100% cotton, polycotton, etc.

then if you go to the site i mentioned above, on the page for each dye, it tells you which type of fabric that dye works with - or just send them an email, saying what you want to do, and again let them know the fabric content

however if you really feel that using Dylon is the easist option for you - they tend to be cheaper on ebay.

  • A friend at work doesnt do dressing up but occasionally has to go to posh dooos with the same group of friends so she has 1 dress which she dyes over and over again and then she can go to do wearing a different dress each time, a lot cheaper than buying a new dress. Im going to try it soon so thanks for all the tips on how to get the right dye.
