Good. I have so far got all the cashbacks from them no probs (4 cashbacks) by sending special delvery each time.

I'm due to send in one cashback claim now and would like to know if an online bill from cpw-voda (themself) would be ok. I have registered with online bill so will not get a statement unless i unregistered and request for a paper bill. Previously sent in all paper bills.
  • I believe OSPS process these cashback cheques in batches. So if you manage to get in just before their batch window closes, you get your cheque fairly quick. But if you just missed the boat then it will take about 6 weeks for the next batch.

  • Do you recommend cashback claims are send just ordinary registered post - which I think is about £1 or should I bother sending guaranteed next day delivery registered which is £3.85?

    Thanks

Called them and they say its ok to send in online bill, got the cs advisor's name of course.

I would recommend special delivery unless your claim is below £29 as this is the compensation royalmail would pay u if recorded post was used.

Besides, loads of stories that they said it never arrived even if it had been signed for and ask u to get a signature for RM to confirm it had been signed for; this will cost u extra £2.50 and more hassle.

Special delivery tracks the paperwork all the way through the system, recorded only shows when it has been delivered (and no doubt when you posted it). To get true value, you would also have to go for "consequential loss" as the paperwork is only worth a few pence (ie cost of paper) but the loss if it goes missing, particularly where there are vouchers which cannot be replaced, is the issue. I think that it costs just over a £1 extra, so about £5 to send special delivery with consequential loss. £15 for the year is worth it for peace of mind (and you can more than cover that signing up originally through Quidco or Rpoints).

I don't believe even special delivery will cover consequential loss. The last time I asked for it I was told they didn't do it. Having looked on the website it would appear they do but probably for an additional fee and it has to be specially requested.

    "Consequential loss
Up to £10,000 † available on request at time of posting only. †† Claims for compensation must be made in writing within 14 days of posting. Please keep customer receipt for the purposes of claiming."

Up to now I have found recorded delivery sufficient.
