Mobile phone reception of different providers?

I am thinking of changing from O2 to Virgin, but I've discovered that T Mobile provides the network that the Virgin mobile phones use.

My only reservation about moving is that I know O2 coverage is pretty good, whereas I think T Mobile coverage might not be as good.

I've googled but can't find a site which compares the UK coverage/reception of the different mobile phone networks?

Has anyone got any advice for me please? Or is anyone able to tell me where I can compare the reception and coverage the various providers offer?

Many thanks!

My daughter recently changed from Orange to T Mobile and now has terrible reception problems - mid Herts area.

To be honest, those coverage maps dont always help most people... Most people have problems with their network coverage in their own homes or work places, so the best thing you can do before you stick with a network (long term, e.g Contract) try a cheap pay as you go sim card in your phone, you dont need to top it up, just travel around with it for a day or so and see what the reception is like where you go and at your home.

T-Mobile coverage is quite good as with most the networks these days, however you will always have a few spots where one is better than the other :)

If you google each provider EG Orange Coverage, Vodafone Coverage etc etc your find their coverage details.

T-Mobile, Virgin (T-Mob), Orange and 3 = not good deep inside buildings or in furthest countryside. This is due to the radio frequency they are restricted to, it is higher so more line-of-sight.

So O2, Tesco (O2), & Voda probably have better coverage.

The operators might be recognizing this as the most minutes per £ seem to be offered by the ones with the less flexible coverage.
  • Why have a signature linking to a site, my guess is that by being seen to be giving helpful advice you are hoping people will click through to your site to generate sales. If you are being genuine you will remove the signature link. My next guess is that you won't do that as it wouldn't be worth your time answering questions then.

I have been around on mobile phone and technology forums for a long long time, you will find that the free code calculators listed even on this site are developed around my nokia unlocking code, I made nokiafx where free codes where born... It was before nokiafree and all others, I do not rely on forums to generate sales at all, I have been around for a long long time, and I do help people just for the sake of helping... I have only just joined here and in my first few replies all I have had in return is just digs at my integrity, my replies which are truthfull and facts and my signature.... I dont need to prove my integrity to you I am not asking anyone to click on my sig or even look at my sig, its a forum signature every forum worldwide has signatures, geez ive never got a responce like this anywhere before, lol

Would be easier to remove the link, then there will be no issues and any help you give will also be viewed with more integrity.

No doubt because your not complying with the site rules.
