just to update people the completion day went smoothly, got keys at about 12pm, had a drama with scottish power/royal mail though!!. the electricity meter is a pre payment meter which requires a key to top up credit for electricity. i ordered one of these to be delivered saturday by special delivery. it did not come so i waited till monday and still... nothing, so i then called scottish power and explained its not arrived, they posted another out special delivery, tuesday.... nothing!!!!! so i called up the delivery office and..... the letters where there!!!

this was all down to royal mail- they tried to deliver post the week before and saw the letterbox was nailed shut due to it being a repo. so they havent even bothered to check the property from friday onwards to see if its open!!! how stupid are they!! they told me "i assumed it was inaccessible still" surely this is wrong....

my advise to anyone who buys a repo and their letterbox has been nailed shut for a while is to contact your local sorting office and let hem know!!!
