Need a good ISP for internet use & playing on the Wii!

Hi everyone!

I'm currectly with TalkTalk who I am not impressed by as the service isn't particulary fast & drops quite frequently (I live pretty close to the exchange as well).

I'm about to get a new computer & we've had a Wii for ages.

My question is which ISP would be best for browsing the internet, downloading a bit of music, watching iPlayer and playing on the Wii??

I don't expect to be playing on the Wii for hours a day every day, but I expect it will get a fair bit of useage as my daughter's friends all have Wii's online so they can play Mario Kart etc together.

I need an ISP that's reliable and fast.

Any suggestions??

  • sky max , great of you already have the tv, works with wii
  • Thanks devizes18193 :D

We've always avoided getting Sky because we don't agree with their ethics & the way you have to pay extra for things you've already paid for (eg premiership football & boxing) and the fact that it's expensive just for 100's of tv channels we'd never watch

Having said all of that it is becoming more & more tempting as I've heard their broadband is good & reliable and the price of the package becomes more reasonable once you factor in the free broadband & phone lines.

Just the thought of giving £50/month to a company like Sky still holds me back - principles can be such a pain sometimes ;-)

    Hello there,

If you are really close to the exchange and on a TalkTalk LLU service it could be that you need a profile change to stabalise the connection. Its difficutlt to amend profiles etc on external forums but if you could register at https://www.talktalkmembers.com/forums we will be able to look at your line stats and re-profile you if needed.

    Cheers
