If you make the rules for the T&Cs (Terms and conditions for contracts) either go to another thread or delete this thread from your memory and remember that clicking on this thread is bad for your!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
*Even if you are not a TTB customer, you may benefit from some of the information that I have to offer. *
If you are currently a TalkTalk Broadband (TTB) and the price of your Internet connection has been reduced since you started (agreed to) the contract, make sure the reduction in price is shown on your broadband bill after the price reduction has taken effect, e.g. a 1mb broadband connection advertised at the beginning of December 2005 was £19.99, advertised in January 2006 is £14.99 for 1mb broadband now (well it was advertised for £14.99 some time after Christmas but before the end of December 2005, as I had checked on the website). Therefore your January 2006 bill should show the new price of £14.99 for a 1mb broadband connection saving £5!
Even as a past customer (i.e. you have now changed your ISP to another company) or you have agreed to a new 12 months, I am sure that you would be able to claim a refund if it wasn’t discounted and you continued to pay the price you were charged when your contract started. This is because when you agreed to the contract one of their T&Cs states, “If the rates are decreased such decrease will be reflected in your next bill”.
As there are many different ISPs out there (maybe as much as the numbers of letters in a T&C of a contract), it would not be possible for me to view and review each T&C of ISP. Therefore I would urge you to check out your contract for the ISP that you are on now, NOW!!! :wall:
By the time you have read this, people who set out the T&Cs of contracts may have already amended the T&Cs online, so its best to refer to a hardcopy that you may have. However don’t worry if you can’t get the online version, as you should have the T&Cs, which they sent you in the starter pack (those who are on TTB I know get this).
Still reading this? Did I not tell you to check the T&Cs of your contract now? Off you go then!! NOW!!!

I wish anyone trying this good luck BUT.......
I pointed this out to TT 3 months into my contract and was told that was not the case despite my T&Cs saying otherwise. I have emailed serveral times and wrote to the CE and they still refused to confirm the above post. In the end I managed to get a £30 onto my account. As I had 6 months left on my contract at the time that effectivly reduced my monthly payment to £19.99, still5 quid above the current offer.0
