Doesn't the white (off-white?) make Bibbitybob's kitchen look so much fresher and cleaner? Even when a lot of the kitchen hasn't changed at all.
I bet it looks even better with the painted walls.

My kitchen is the one that the developers installed. Beech units, light oak laminate flooring, black laminate worktops, a single row of black gloss tiles, brushed steel handles/ appliances/ accessories, black induction hob and retro clock.

Right through the flat are off white walls and venetian blinds, black metal window frames, then in the adjoining living area an off white sofa and coffee table, black and bronze cushions, black and cream photographic canvas.

Still need a new waste bin (looking at a black 'Twiinbin'), and to sort out my fridge/ freezer situation (currently mini fridge built in and horrid white freestanding freezer in the way), and a black gloss TV. :D

  • Did you just repaint your units? It looks so much better with the doors white.

Yes! Well, I primed them with melamine primer first, then painted on eggshell paint and rollered over it with a small sponge roller to get a nice finish. It's made a huge difference, although I replaced the tiles too. Really should try and get a new picture now the walls are painted but it's never tidy enough :o I blame the room for being so small!! :rotfl:
  • Our kitchen is :
units - black gloss abstrakt from Ikea
    work top - oak
appliances- micro, oven and hood- burshed steel, all others are built in
    floor - black tiles
walls - painted white mist -Dulux
