    Hello,

I don't think you have a strong case as has already been said on here that tax credits only normally backdate any claim upto 3 months.

If you do decide to lodge a complaint I would recommend that you send a letter of complaint, and then continue to send exactly the same letter of complaint(this worked for me) until tax credits acknowledge your complaint and send you details of the name of an officer that will deal with your complaint personally.

I found that until you are given a name to deal with you are getting nowhere.

Good luck and it will probably take some time before you get to deal with a actual person to deal with your case.

Surely the rules are what they are.

Nobody told me I could/couldn't has never been an excuse to change the rules.
