Sorry for not thanking people first off cos im at work and for some reason i cant thank people cos were using Windows NT and it soooooooooo old lolIt my Bestfriend's girlfriends sister that is getting married and i get on well with both of them the room ill be sharing is with my mates girlfriends bestfriend, ........ She knows im not going to do anything lol but were pretty much relaxed as friends so neither of us has a problem with sharing the bed for the night lolI might do as you suggest and go to the wedding but its still £80 approximatley which i feel is a vast amount to spend on one night (god how ive changed!! i wouldnt have thought twice about this previously before i had my lightbulb moment :) ) It may be a one off but its still approximarly £80 though :(

Mate if your anything like me you resent your debt for not being able to do everything you want! But that doesn't mean you have to miss out on it all!

The one and only question is, do you want to go?

In my opinion mate you have being doing so much overtime that you need to spend some of it on yourself rather than your debt. You ran yourself into the ground doing it so this could be the perfect medicine.

You still have to live your life or in 3 years time (or whenever your debt free) you will look back on the last 3 years and ask yourself where it all went. 3 years of just paying of debts. No enjoyment. No laughs. No memories other than overtime and internet banking.

If you want to go mate, go! But work out a budget. Look for the cheapest room you can. Make every other drink a coke or something.

Don't deny yourself a life because of past mistakes.

If you don't want to go ignore all the above! :p

Also how can you turn down the guarantee of sharing a bed with the female species? ;) :rotfl:

Hi James (did you get my PM?)

As the clever & handsome SS says - you cant deny yourself of having a life. It depends on how badly you want to go.. You've obviously been doing a lot of overtime & working hard at repaying your debts, so why not allow yourself a treat?

Enjoy the rest of your weekend & PM me back

    xx

Hiya SS :hello:As it has worked out now ill be down my mums when the stag party is happening so i wont be around for that so i have saved my self some money there, also made the decision not to go to the wedding cos i honestly feel its a lot of money for one day and that i can put the money to better use in paying off my debt.I know what everyone is saying about spending some money on myself but i just feel guilty in doing so .........

Ok here we are as promised a list of me outgoings for this month........

    RENT £250.00

    BROADBAND £25.00

    PHONE £40.00

    TRAVEL CARD £30.80

    SAVINGS £10.00

    CREDIT CARD £24.00

    LOAN£303.71

    O/DRAFT£170.00

    TOTAL £853.51

So in total for this month my outgoings are £853.51 with my overtime and my monthly wage i have earnt £1614.89 :j .

So what i am going to do is overpay my loan by £600 :j and give myself £161 to spend on myself.

Im giving myself a little bit extra this month cos i just wanna get a few little bits and pieces for myself and perhaps get myself a few treats :o

Must admit this weekend i have gone stupid with my money and hence why i have ended up being so overdrawn, stupid i know but im drawing a line under it and moving on and using it as a learning experience. :o

So im going to be able to look forward to even more money coming off my loan this month cos once the monthly payment has gone through on the 15th June that means i will have paid off another £849 intotal of my loan :)
