Well even more bad news, ive been paid today which is good considering the mess with the BACS system today  but i seem to be missing around £60-70 out of my wages at the moment (this was extra money for me doing the promotion job on a temporary basis) so ive got even less money at the moment
Will post my ins and out at a later time cos im a bit !!!!ed off about missing out on my extra money this monthSavings Total so far for 2023: £8,062.580 -
Ok this is how my finances play out this month
RENT £280.00
BROADBAND £0.00
PHONE £60.00
TRAVEL CARD £30.80
SAVINGS £10.00
CREDIT CARD £0.00
LOAN £303.71
O/DRAFT £130.00
TOTAL £814.51
WAGES £1,125.84
Money Left £311.33
Out of that £311.33 ive spent £81 on shopping for myself because i havent really been eating that well and i decided to do a big shop and get stuff that i need cos i'd almost run out of food.
So ive got £230 left so im going to over pay my loan by £130 and have a £100 left for the month.
Im really peed off at the moment cos i should have got another £60-70 extra, that im now going to have to chase my HR department about
Again ive let myself down by being £130 over drawn and a £60 phone bill, just not a good month for me plus ive got my brothers birthday soon as well
April just isnt going to be a good month .................Savings Total so far for 2023: £8,062.580 -
Hello James,
Ive been reading through your thread for a while now, and checkin every now and again to see how your doing (hope you dont mind), and I think youve done brilliantly. You should be so proud of yourself. Youve come a long way.
I know how hard it can be especially when things have slipped a little, but, hey theres always next month, and remember, the light at the end of the tunnel is brighter than it was this time last year/last month.
Chin up and keep smiling, you will get there in the end, I did.

I think the thing is, is that i want to be debt free by the end of the year and im putting a lot of pressure on my self to be debt free by that time.
I want to be debt free so i can start saving towards a deposit for a house and if i dont get a move on ill be renting for ever
i will keep me chin up and ill be looking forward to the future when i am debt free

I think you may have lost sight of your achievements a little. By my reckoning you only have £6632.51 left to clear. Considering that you have therefore cleared more than half your debt in 14 ish months i think you're doing well. It hasn't just been about clearing debts for you over the last year it has been about readjusting your whole lifestyle and your whole attitude to money and spending. You should give yourself a big pat on the back to be honest.
