Yeah young and reckless I was thinking about it too but read it only stays at that rate for a year but the egg loan stays at 6.9 for the duration and it has even more flexibility.
The way I go on about egg sometimes makes you think I work there! (well I used too!!) LOL :rotfl:In debt no more!0 -
Bit dissapointed today cos looking at it i need some more sandwich meat and multipack of crisps so about £4 will be spent although still on target for not going into overdraft...think i will check my balance on bank account and see how much i have left .....
Edit:
Just checked ive got £1.56 left in my bank account forgot to take into account that i gave my brother £10 for his birthday in his card  So what i will do is take out money from my shrapnel jar (Save 5p, 2p, and 1p's in a jar) Got about £30 saved up at the moment so will raid that to pay for the little bits i need. Cos im soooo determined i aint going into my overdraftSavings Total so far for 2023: £8,062.580 -
ok im on my lunch break and been really boring and working out my money (again ). If I stick true to my goals in terms of keeping to my £20 a week budget and being strict on what i spend and make the overpayments of approx between £250 and £300 then by the end of december this year i will only owe just below £4000.
This is not taking into account any overtime which i will be doing as im getting trained on this coming saturday, if i do overtime on every saturday then its approx £400 before tax (does any one know what this works out to after tax?? Im assuming this will come to £250 after tax?)
So i will then be able to make further overpayments on my loan with this overtime. So hopefully my overpayments will total to around £500 every month plus the amount that comes off every month with my monthly payment which is around £239. So if this is the case i will be approximatley be paying £739 off my loan a month (providing overtime lasts that long!) which means i will pay off £8868 after 12 months. Leaving me with only £513 to pay off.
Now i know ive done this figure on the basis overtime will continue for a year but looking at it this way gives me sooooo much incentive to do as much overtime as possible. Its possible that i could be debt free in just over a year :j
Sorry to waffle on but with these figures im just sooooo excited at the moment :j :j:j:j:jSavings Total so far for 2023: £8,062.580 -

just got back from Tesco and spent £8.09 . Im not too worried aobut this cos ive got £30 saved up in 1p, 2p, 5p so im going to put £10 back into my current account. This is to balance out the fact that i put £10 into my brothers birthday card.
£2.47 was for a tupperware tub so i can take pasta Salads into work and save my self some more money so im not to worried about that, i even managed to pick my self up some scones that were reduced to 20p from £1.10.
picked up two packs of sandwich ham as they were 2 for £3 and got some peppers £1.18 and some salad as well as some black pepper to give my salad a nicer taste lolSavings Total so far for 2023: £8,062.580 -

Thanks Verbatim, nah wont get down at all its just nice to know that im going to have some extra money coming in, so i can overpay even more on my loan...so definatley wont get too disheartened as it really is just a bonus while the overtime lasts.Savings Total so far for 2023: £8,062.580 -
