Have you thought about flat sharing. It doesn't have to be a massive house with 16 other strangers. It can work really well with one or two others. If you manage to find someone who wants to rent a room under the rent a room scheme you might find a place where the bills are covered. Not sure where you live but sites like gumtree are quite good.

Hey guys well done you your OU money Andan (glad you got the seeds Andan - its a ramshackle collection but you're very welcome).
Tallie - I think the advice on here is great - I know you work shifts but can you work out a way to possibly take your dog, the company would be great.
Otherwise if you are looking at renting, have you thought of sharing to start with??Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Andan, yeah i have but she changes the topic everytime i talk about buying a place. she is so against shared ownership i did that she would make things awkward. I mentioned a year at least. But i am a tad annoyed she isnt giving my twin the same "talk". She is no way able to move out with her finances or earnings...oh well my rant is done!! At work tomo im going to research rents and the bills and things to rent a 1 bed flat. I know i dont want to share thats for sureDebt for Tallie - JUNE 2009NATWEST LOAN......5000.00CREDIT CARDS........5000.00STUDENT LOAN.......7500.00TESCO CARD..........1000.000

I've lived away from home for three years now, always had flat mates though so the lonliness isn't bad. There will be months when you overspend and go 'I shouldn't have done that.' But it's a learning curve, a steep one but it does get easier and you feel really good when you realise you are independant and out on your own.Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. Middle child of middle child parents. I drink way too much coffee.

However, in saying what I just said, there are times when I really miss my mother. We are pretty close, when she is in this country (March till November) I have been known to ring her four times a day. When she's in Benidorm for the winter, I have to make do with 1 phone call every couple of days. I only get to see her a few times a year. Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. Middle child of middle child parents. I drink way too much coffee.

Evening all
Great news Andan
Fay dont go tempting me with offers of a spare room or I will be up there like a shot (especially at 3am when Pip is screaming blue murder!!)
Tallie Maybe shareing would be the way to go. My OH used to live in a shared house and it was good as there was someone there if you wanted a bit of company but you also had some space. It tends to work out cheaper too so you could maybe do it whilst you saved some money for your own place?
I got my M+S £20 dinner, it is really good value as the Cava was over £8 a bottle on its own.
Our friends came over today and we asked them to be Pips Godfathers and they both had tears in their eyes, bless them, know we have made the right choice.Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T
