    Evening everyone!

    Today I have...

    - Had a LSD... seeds from Wilkos (3 4 2), carrot, pea and runner bean
    - Storecupboard/freezer brekkie and dinner...went next door for lunch!
    - Finalised meal plan for the next week
    - Wrote shopping list for tomorrows main shop. I shall stick to it!
    - Listened to free music on lastfm
    - Free brain training
    - No washing today (wooohoooo)
    - Daily clicks and free scratchies
    - No surveys today (boo)

I'm now thinking about what other seeds to buy. Already have 2 types of tomato and bell pepper. Need to get myself organised!!

Hey guys, life is a bit too busy for me at the mo and don't get chance to post on a morning as that is one long rush to leave at 7.30, hate mornings!!

Shame about the wing mirror, glad you got it fixed at a low price

Tallie, being a twin must be interesting. I have lots of brothers and sisters and would be lost with out them.

    Things for today:
-Been to work for my money
-Took bread in that needs using up, so i don't buy other food and it gets used
-Have been contacted by a massage agency who want to take me on to do some pamper parties for them in the future, working for them as and when i want to, which would be a huge boost financially for me and my skills as a masseuse
    -Typed up mystery shops
-Sorted out massage equipment and towels for treatments
-Lunch was using up milk that is about to go off
-Tea was bits and pieces from storecupboard
-Went and did two massage treatments tonight
-Popped into shop on way home and bought lots of stock cupboard type things, buying 20 packs of flapjack bars and jaffa cake bars for the price of 10, so very happy with that
-Saw old client in supermarket and she came up to me and apologised for not booking in and said she will be in touch very soon, so thats promising
-Sent off cheque to pay last of massage fees and used free stamps to do so
-Posted card to my mum as its her birthday and got my fave card from my collection and used free stamps so it didn't cost me
    -Did free scratch cards
    -Looked for mystery shops
-Sorted out mystery shops for tomorrow
-Worked on business emails and optimisation
    -Worked on marketing business
-Done some tidying up as house really needed it!!
-Heating off most of day or on low
-Used free minutes to talk to OH and mum
-Sorced really cheap bottles of water for clients so that will help with overheads

    Now i will:
    -Sort out spreadsheets
-Sort out stuff for gym etc tomorrow
    -Scan and put away shopping
-Check out fact finders pack i have been sent
-Look through seeds fay has kindly sent me
-Look for cheap travel to London
    -Strip old lodgers room
    -Put wash on

-Hang up round house to dry
    -Put lose change in pot
    -Check online banking
    -Move money around

-Do some more boring household jobs
    -Continue using up beauty products

Enjoy what is left of the evening everyone

    Hi Tallie

One of the things I did while I was saving for my place and preparing to move was to set myself a proposed budget based on what I thought it would cost me to live away from home and then tried to stick to it for a few months i.e. I worked out how much my mortgage payment; council tax; gas; water; electric; food; insurance; etc would cost and then set that aside every month. It really helped me to think about whether I could afford to move out and helped me to save towards my deposit. The SOA calculator is a really good budget planner for this.

    Hope this helps

  • Speaking as a daughter - you will never have any money once you leave home and enter the world of bills and utilities:eek: get some savings behind you now;)

Speaking as a mother - 26:eek: , hope my DD doesn't stay that long in the nest. Love her to bits but won't be sad when the time comes for her to make her own way in the world ;) Although my brother is 41 and is about to move back in with parents as his marriage not working out:rolleyes: - my mum is having nightmares at the idea - but will still have him.

  • Thanks guys, im really worried about the loneliness side of it. Will i be able to cope? Im so used to having mum around and i don’t want to leave my dog too. But i work 12 hour shifts it wouldn’t be fair. Ive stayed at home mainly coz mum is on benefit and my and sisters money gives an income. Im looking at rents and ill be sooo skint!! You are right though, i need to get some good savings behind me. Hopefully no more big bills this month....

Tallie, definitely get some savings behind you, but at least with your good money saving habits you will be in the right frame of mind. Have you discussed with your mum staying there until you have enough for a deposit to buy, as i know that you wanted to do that.
