    crap, crap, crappiola!

A couple of hours ago a friend called into my office on her way to an ultrasound dating scan. We were chatting for a bit so I phoned my boss (her O&G consultant) to say she'd be a couple of minutes late as we'd been so busy catching up time just flew by. My boss has just phoned to say her baby had died sometime in the last four weeks and could I call her tomorrow but no one else knows about it. And I just know she'll be on her way home thinking that she's done something wrong and it's somehow her fault that she lost the baby. She's very like me in how she thinks and I know that's one of the feelings I had when I had pregnancy losses.

Sorry for the downturn but I needed to... vent / share... And now I wonder how the heck do I talk to someone who's lost her baby when I'm 30 weeks pregnant:confused::confused:

hey I was chatting to mi other lad on MSN Msgr last night (he's 21 next year  ) and was telling him to go round and look after his grandad (my dad) cause he's got a leaky heart valve again. And started getting all wishy woshy about how I was sorry if I wasnt there for him when he was growing up and I loved him and he said 'bye Dad' lol

Either she'll have asked (or given permission) for my boss to let me know (or he'd have asked her if he should let me know anything - he is good like that.

After cogitating on it for a bit I've remembered that when I had one of my pregnancy losses I was really hurt and upset because a pregnant friend said nothing (even though she knew) and I know it was because she just didn't know what to say so the fact that I'm pregnant doesn't really matter it's my friend who's hurting and I'm sure that once I start talking to her the right words will come (if I could see her I'm sure a hug would say much more than the first few words)!
