Can anyone recommend a cheap hotel in Leeds centre?. I know how to use google etc but would prefer to hear from someone whos'e stayed there.

The Leeds Central Travelodge is in walking distance of most things. But you are unlikely to get a Saver rate there. Usually about £55 I think. Parking is chargeable, but is a discounted rate in a secure carpark opposite. The TL has a breakfast buffet and there are many bars/restaurants in the area.
EDIT---just been checking another TL in August and noticed Leeds Central does have some £26 saver rates! So worth a look.0 -

Dunno if you've used priceline but I've had some great deals on there for 4*/5* hotels in Leeds before Xmas. (Marriott at £35 -50 pn, Crowne Plaza @ £48 pn, Park Plaza @ £60pn) -Btw, they were all very nice hotels, esp. Park Plaza0

stayed in the marriott a few weeks ago, excellent hotel right in the city centre and it was £70 per night for a twin room.0
