BT Broadband £10 offer????

Has anyone heard of this??, we had a chap from BT phone(several times) offering this and in the end went with the offer. Now were getting e-mails saying we will be paying £25 a month for BB3. We've phoned them to query this and no-one seems to know anything about this £10 offer.
We're now hoping to cancel, 3 days into the contract as BT don't seem to want to know and conveniently can't find our "Supposed" recorded calls!!!(l even told them the chaps name-still no help)

Are you sure they were actually calling on behalf of BT Broadband? Could always be some company giving the impression they are, without actually saying they are . . . since 27% of people use BT Broadband - it quite possible to find.0
