  • Managed to get an EI voucher yesterday at Market St, Manchester. Only 6 bottles of Hand Wash left though.

Tried my luck with the Free Avene Bags but evil SA caught me - she wasnt even serving me !!!! Ran over saying i had to buy the right item to get them free - so off i ran back downstairs. Got 4 Botanics wipes to cover the 3 Avene bags. Back to the till and the big mama was there waiting for me. Told me as it was bou one get one free on Botanics i could only have 2 bags.

Hey I bet you got the frosty SA I got , she had a hissy fit and nearly burst a blood vessel telling me what was what!

I havent used my card for around 2 weeks as all the offers on it have been a bit poo. I used my partners card yesterday to get the EI voucher.
Neither cards today had any decent vouchers.
Watch out, you never know who is about.
  • I went in for the first time today since  middle of last week!! (had a bad back and despite what oh thinks it is nt from carry all my boots bargains home :rotfl: ) and can confirm that the offers in the machine are rubbish, I even tried my mum's card and even she didnt get anything worth using...think the machine must have fallen out with me :(

I did return some TD wipes as they have made my face all dry and sore and the kind sa on the no7 counter let me swap them (the unopened ones obviously!)for their wipes and some face cream and i got the free bag as well :)

Just to let ppl know that re gift bag/sets. I have (with very kind help of bedshaped) made some gift sets up for mum & m-i-l and went to local florist who charged 99p for a metre of celophane (sp?) so my pressie will look nice and expensive :) (still not enough to please m-i-l but hey as catherine tate says "am i bovered" ;) )
    Brendan's new dance partner...please :D

I wouldn't worry too much about rubbish offers from the machine for a couple of days -- they do seem to go through these dry spells occasionally -- let's just hope good offers will be back soon! (Hey, I feel quite sorry for the poor AC machines, they do work so hard when MSErs gets their paws on them! :rotfl: )

Just had a thought re: EI vouchers... Say one managed to get hold of two vouchers at the same time (from two cards)... what would happen if you tried putting them through together? Would you get double the points, i.e. 600 points for a £1.66 spend?   Has anyone tried this??? (Purely hypothetical situation in my case, as DH's card doesn't get offered EI vouchers, and I haven't had a second one anyway  ... but am just wondering!)

And on a final note, regarding gift wrapping, am I the only Boots addict who's still got the Med gift bags from last summer's loophole? I've still got loads, despite giving them away all year... :o (For those who weren't around then, we got 100 points for a 30p-ish gift bag... :D)

don't think it would happen. as before xmas you could print out as many as you liked, so i put one through for each item only got 1 lot of points per item.

My rather pessimistic assumption is you would get swearing when it paid 150 per bottle 'as usual' and the cashier threw the 'duplicate' away!

But hey! Boots tills... operate on the principles of the Twilight Zone :)

Went to Boots - bad AD machine, very bad - nothing to use!!!!

Anyway, I wasnted to get eye gel mask and got one from Natural collection range on BOGOF. So, also picked up 'Dewberry Incense Stick pack'. And then I noticed Ice musk 'Silver shimmering body mousse' for 75p (perfect for my 16-year old cousin) and Blue Chamomile pearl collection (£1.49) Also got some TD wipes with skincare voucher and paid £6.48 total. I am quite happy.

Thank you for all the suggestion earlier about packing gift sets. Unfortunatelly, silver mash bags are finished in my Boots. I visited florist - bought some celophane (75p per meter) and handcraft shop - bought some ribons (total paid £1.74 for about 8meters of different ones). My bf is coming home and I have all the stuff out trying to sort it out in different gift sets. Will try to pack now.

    Thank you all for suggestions!!!
