ooooooooo well i know i would have loved to have said something along the "could i have that if you wont use it" lines, specially in my situation... but would i have dared... hmm probably not! lol.. whatever will Boots bargains have us doing next????
    Pash x
I would have done Pash if I wasn't with my daughter who's only 9 and thinks that I'm bargain mad! Also they might have thought I was most odd, so on this occasion I had to bow out gracefully from a good deal!

Learning very quickly about Boots loopholes thanks to this thread but have a question:

How do you know that all your vouchers have scanned ok? I shopped today and my points are split into points, offer points and coupon points so how do you know which is which???

Hi there - I think that this is how it works:

points - 4 x the amount you have spent is the "normal" points (this total will also include any total spend voucher points from the AC machine)
offer points - from vouchers in the AC machine (except total spend ones)
coupon points - from vouchers from other sources (mailings etc.)

I know that the EI offer meant that you got 150 offer points per item, but it didn't give you any "normal" points for the amount that you spent on them. Not sure if this is true for any product that you use an AC voucher for, will have to dig out some old reciepts.

    Hope that this helps :D

My children think that I'm mad to spend so much time in Boots anyway, but none of them have refused any of the goodies yet! In fact last night they were asking when I'm next going as they've finished all the 99p chocs!

I think if I'd have been you I'd have been trying to explain how the voucher worked to them! No doubt they'd have thought me bonkers, so at the stage that they were trying to edge away I'd probably have asked if I could have their voucher! :p

    HI ALL

I HAVE JUST PURCHASED 10 MINATURE TREVOR SORBIE FIRM CONTROL GEL 50ML and used the 100 points coupon, ( just chancing my luck ) and it gave me 1000 points . Now i bought 10 gels @ 44 pence each , think this must be my first money saving bargain. These will be ideal as my son goes away a lot and NEEDS his gel so ideal . Also in my branch got the kangol shower gel and anti pesp. for 77 p each. Thanks to till operator linda who was very helpful, :T :j
may not be the same in every branch but worth a try

    debjay -

POINTS RECEIVED - your normal points of 1p for every whole 25p spent plus additional points from AC coupons such as "Spend £7.50, get 50 points".

*BONUS POINTS* - bonus points from the "100 when you buy this product" AC vouchers.

Not sure about coupon points, but sure someone else will know!

As a general rule, it pays to mentally work out the bonus points you expect before you pay so that you can instantly query it. Although if it's a loophole (such as EI) and 5000 points don't go thru :D, nothing you can do about that as the tills have obviously been fixed!

cheepskate - see earlier posts re TS range to identify old packaging, which is being reduced.

The Gel at 44p is bizarre, because it's a miniature but not "classed" as a miniature by the till! What do we care - fill your Boots! Try and get £10 worth next time and you'll get the £4 reduction. Get £14 and you'll get the £4 reduction and a skincare/chocs voucher for a total spend over £10.

I went into Wokingham/Berks There is no EI stuff the SA never heard of them!!! Also check the AC machinethere was no coupons. DO anyone know
1.if a shop do not stock an item then the machine is unlikely to give a coupon?
    2. IS EI stuff in the Reading shops?
    Thanks

Maisie, the "100 points Trevor Sorbie Mg" AC vouchers exclude miniatures.

Although as mentioned yesterday, some of the "mg to go" products look like miniatures but still attract the 100 points!

But where would the fun be if they made it too easy. ;)

bham dave. I didn't expect 100 points for the miniature but I expected the right price. Said 22p on shelf and got charged £1.75

Only picked it up 'cos it was 22p . It was Moisturising cream.

Hi pash - I'm fine thanks! Sorry to hear about your missing card - hope it turns up. :)

BTW, I hope all you girls are putting boyf/dh clear about your "pregnancies"! I can foresee lots of arguments otherwise when the Parenting Club info turns up! ;)

Just been and got a couple of those EI handwashes, they are reduced to £1.66 each and are BOGOF (though as you stated there is no bogof advertising) So I did get my 2 bottles for £1.66 and with my voucher got £3.00 worth of points back on my card. :T

As a total novice I didnt think to perhaps get more in one purchase such as 4, 6 or 8 bottles. Still ya live and learn eh? :o

Still happy with my freebies though. :j
