    Couple of questions:

    1) If the avene bag is free with TD, can you get one free when say getting something under a £5 with the £5 voucher therefore spending nothing?

    2) Someone mentioned that the tills didnt take the BOGOF into account when getting the no7 gift total spend. Does this mean that you could get the free gift when say spending on two £7.50 products in the sun range eg the No7 Pre-Holiday Conditioning Face Serum? Maybe wouldnt be noticeable if put through with other things or did I read that post wrong?

if you say your baby is 6mts to 2 yrs, (the bit in between gets you nowt thats useful to the pretend preggers- its a free avent starter kit voucher!) you get a coupon for free 500 points with no other spend necessary, so a free fiver to spend in boots

you also get loads of mailings with coupons for money off and extra points soem of ehich are only useful to parents but soem non-parents can use too, e.g. you get a 'congrats' card on your arrival date and in it is a coupon for 10 free digital prints whioch is useful to almost everyone isnt it?

Thanks for that, thank goodness that someone has a clear head with all this!! My head's in a spin! :)

Also, could someone explain simply what the Avene sun set is all about? I'm picking up bits and pieces but aren't very clear what to do? Thanks!

its summin i found out yesterday, heres what i posted this morning:

hi, ive found a brand new offer in manchester market street (maybe in others)

they have eau thermale avene after sun in wash bags rrp £19.99, which are free when you buy from a large selection of skin care products. the best way to do it is with botanics which are also on BOGOF, it is displayed in skin care downstairs near the customer services till

the cheapes botanics is £3.99 for face wash or wet wipes, so if you pick up 6 items, you get them plus 6 avene bags and you are spending £11.97 so you get your £5 skin care voucher

another item you can get a free avene bag with is avene or aderma, so get an aderma bar for £4.05 or an avene face spray for £3.99 plus another bag, (so both free with the £5 voucher!) plus your £3.99 choccies for 99p voucher

    the outcome is:
    6 x botanics face wash/ wet wipes (rrp £23.94)
7 x avene after sun gift bags (rrp £139.93)
    1 x aderma bar/ avene face spray (rrp £4.05/£3.99)
    1 x choccies (rrp £3.99)

SO for spending £12.96 you have.....£171.91 worth of stuff!

plus, use a ACM coupon for 75 extra points when you spend £10 and youll also get 122 points on your first transaction, plus teh 3 for buying your choccies! so, £1.25 back too!

plus, i got sachet sampels of: complete skin care moisturiser, nivea young wash, toner and moisturiser, l'oreal sun cream, jose eisenberg wash, lotion and face cream, and eucerin skin lotion. (these can all be found with the actual products).

oooh it gets me all tignly inside! hehe!

    Glad to help!

Obviously my suggestion only works if the Lynx is at £2.19 in your store and you've currently got a spare chocs voucher all ready to be used.

(Sure someone posted on the old thread that the SA let them put their chocs thru the till before they'd even received the voucher in the first place!)

It was me! The lovely SA in Boots just ripped off the choc voucher before handing it over to me! Not sure that they'd all be this helpful though! ;)

  • I couldn't find this Avene bag, I looked all over the store.

In answer to the post about the reduced TD items and paying for them with the skincare voucher, I think she actually did an over-ride whatever that means.

I've just done a mini-facial with my bits and pieces and I feel really good and I know that I owe everyone a really big thanks for all the tips that have been passed on as I've really benefited from buying the beauty products which I wouldn't usually be able to afford to buy. So thanks!!

I found this one on bay and ain't me.

Trying to sell 6 items of TD as a gift basket/set. Ummm does anyone think they got all the items for free or next to nothing and have a starting price of £8.99

As is always said pays to do your own research.

I understand that the board guides don't want a structured Boots thread split like the Tesco one, that they have to police, but would there be any reason why I couldn't start one called 'Boots Bargain Chat' for example, on Shop But Don't Drop?

I can see only the positives on shifting our feckless daytime chatter out of the way of the Quick! Grabbit realm :)

The Evening people are going to hate us aren't they...

I dont know what i would do in an evening if i didnt have the boots thread to entertain me.
