  • Guess I was lucky yesterday cos I only spent £7.58 and the SA gave me a voucher.Mind she was going on about some competition she had won and I was ooing and aahing in all the right places so she wasn't concentrating on the job in hand. But she still wouldn't let me use my TS voucher on the hair gel cos it was a mini.(this was 7.58 after the vouchers had come off so it was originally over £10)

The trick with the TS if you can do it is to buy a full sized TS reduced item, along with your minis they have no choice but to scan the voucher then ;)

Hurray - gt another EI Voucher today on my card ( not on hubbys though - his offers are rubbish!), also got the razor one. Got 8 Ei items - hand wash and bubble bath, had a 75points coupon too and 100 razor one - got 1494 points in total for £16.74 spend. Also got these lovely oil burner gift sets - they are called Organic Blue Burner - they come in a white organza bag, these are down from £10 to £2.49 but are on 3 for 2. The SA was lovely today - told me they were on 3 for 2, I had put three in just in case - but at least he said. He gave me the skincare voucher, which I used on reduced Aderma product - half price to £4.70 - he wasn't sure if it would work but said he would give it a try anyway. What a difference from my frosty face I had to deal with last week. That was the Glasgow Braehead store - there was loads of reduced Aderma and Elizabeth Arden items up at the back on the left hand side.
No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:

    Hi,
don't know if this will help you, but I know there are a few waitrose around Berkshire and they have the bodyform with the vouchers on special offer buy two packs for £1.78 - then you have 2 x £1 vouchers to get your next 2 packs.

Thanks - I was in Wokingham Waitrose this afternoon and saw some packs with the vouchers on (none in boots or tesco w'ham). I didn't see that they were on offer though ... missed that one!! I'll pop back maybe tomorrow and see if I can bag a couple. :grinheart
  • Hiya, this is my first post! I love the Boots thread! Thank you to everyone for all the great tips!

I have just returned from Boots in Crawley (West Sussex) and they have loads of Botanics Foundations and Pressed Powders reduced to £1.00 each. When you get to the till, they are going through at BOGOF!!! They're upstairs with all the other sale stuff, in the corner by the Photo Department & Baby Clothes. Some of the women's sale swimwear has also been further reduced to £2.00 each. Still quite a bit of Xmas sale stuff & other sale stuff upstairs.

Also got a Bodyform with my 1st voucher and a TD Toner with my 2nd voucher as well. Lots of new TD things on the shelves. Some Bodyform left on the shelf, but the ones with the vouchers were pushed right to the back with the ones with no vouchers at the front.

None of the Lindt choccies left - apparently they ran out yesterday afternoon.

I spent over £10.00 and got a new £5.00 voucher for skincare which is valid from tomorrow (15th Feb) & expires 28th Feb. The new voucher is white and a blue/green colour. Valid for use against Olay Regenerist, Olay Total Effects, RoC, Daniele Ryman, Boots Time Delay, Simple Regeneration Plus (excludes all other Simple Products), Eau Thermale Avene & Aderma, L'Oreal Dermo Expertise Revitalift, L'Oreal Dermo Expertise Wrinkle Decrease, L'Oreal Dermo Expertise Renoviste, L'Oreal Dermo Expertise Refinish (excludes all other L'Oreal products).

Thanks again for all the Boots Bargains!

Hi cheekyweegit - Thanks again - and I hope you still had the energy to read your homework! :D

To pick your brains on another one... ;)

With the recent Time Delay loophole, where people were presenting a £5 off coupon to get a product selling for £5 or less, does the coupon act as payment in the legal sense. (To quote from your example above) Ie the cashier "takes (the coupon) for the said goods, as their acceptance of your offer."

I find your reminder that a shop is under no obligation to sell you anything interesting in the context of this thread, given how many SAs seem to invent ad hoc conditions of sale. Their actions - although annoying - would seem 100% legally watertight.

    Thanks again for the replies
    Dave

The contract can be formed using any 'consideration' of value. Offer, Acceptance and consideration, are the main parts of contract formation. Consideration can take the form of cash, credit card or vouchers or a combination.
Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

EVERY LITTLE EXCUSE HELPS in trying to get out of the R&R policy when the law has been broken, especially on high value items. :D
  • Today in my local store there was a 200 points on the AC machine for detox toiletries. The detox is in the sale at the mo (half price I think). BEWARE the 200 points only gets counted once on each transaction but when you're at the ac machine you can always print off multiple vouchers and put the items through seperately (face mask sachets x 3 are 1.25) and 200 pints back. Not bad :heartsmil

I put mine all through together (thought I'd better test it out for you guys :blushing: ) :blushing: ...still - doing that I got my £5 skincare voucher
