In my opinion we need a thread like the tesco's one for new offers etc and a discussion thread for all the excited people to post their lastest buys (me) etc. My OH looks at me like I am mad when I tell him have to share it with like minded people. Agree this thread just runs away some days

thats already been suggested but wasn't started due to the extra work it would cause the board guides (who are volunteers)

hence liverbird being kept busy updating the first page with all the offers/bargains.. its hard work but does become easier to keep up with it all...... eventually :D

Final question - have lost my double points voucher but it say on my receipt that I have one go left - can the cashier do this or can she only do it with a voucher to scan?

I had a ghosting thing a few weeks ago where I used my double points coupons twice, at which point it was taken for the till - only to start getting receipts with 'You have used your double points coupon twice - use it once more' on the bottom!

Unfortunately never at decent opportunities to go and ask if this meant more points please. (I really wish Boots had a CS desk like the supermarket - I'm often over there with a quick query or request for my pennies back and even in a rush it doesn't take too long when it's a desk not a till.)

Would be interested to know your outcome :)

Popped in to Boots earlier and unfortuantely had my mum with me - she insists on asking what everything is for, how the points work - basically she talks and asks questions all the time we're out - drives me mad.

Anyway, bought 6 lots of Lynx and some Hair Science shampoo (no second EI voucher  ). Paid stuck my receipt in my bag and came home - all whilst still listening to my mum......

Just got in (having dropped the mad lady off first!), made a nice cuppa and read my receipt

I only printed off the one Lynx voucher - thought it was along the same lines as the EI bargain. Not only that - no points for the Hair Science purchase.

Do you think I could phone up about the Hair Science points - wouldn't have the nerve to ask for the Lynx ones too!

Do you think I'd be able to get another lot of these tomorrow - my OH does use Lynx and as my old nan used to say - stock's as good as money!!

Final question - have lost my double points voucher but it say on my receipt that I have one go left - can the cashier do this or can she only do it with a voucher to scan?

I just rang up about my Hair Science points - I gave in the HS voucher and the EI voucher but only the EI points were printed on the receipt. The very nice young man at CS took my details and says I can collect the points from the ATM in 24 hours :D

btw, my dream came true - I bought 14 EI handwashes and 2 handcreams. Trouble is, I dont like the honeysuckle and gardenia cream - wonder if I could change it. Founds shelves stacked with EI at Bluewater and very helpful assistant who pointed out I had got up to £10 and asked if I wanted to split my buys into 2 lots so I could get 2 skincare vouchers. She also asked the lady in front of me if she wanted to pop back and get a toothpaste or something cheap that would bring her up to £10 so she could get the voucher, but the lady declined!

Very helpful SA in Gravesend too, pointed out to me that the soaps I had bought were on BOGOF so I went and got some more. All in all a very successful day with Mr Boots paying me over £10 to take away his handwashes and creams :))) :money:

Don't want to sound like I'm having a go at anyone, but for those in a real rush trying to keep up with the Boots thread, virtually all the information you need is in post 1.

Compare this with a couple of weeks ago, where you had to trawl through an entire thread to find the bargains. Now all you have to do if read one (albeit lengthy) post. :)

Thanks Bham Dave - will return them tomorow and buy them again using your formula!

Will also phone up about my points for Hair Science - as they say 'every little helps' oops, wrong thread!

OH has just found an Advantage card. Lost mine a little while ago and Boots must have sent me 2 by mistake. I'm going to see what's on the card tomorrow night. Wonder if there'll be another EI voucher for me to use?

Then I'll either use the points, or will get it combined onto my main card that I have in my wallet.

    Can anyone see any problems?

Edit: And before anyone wonders there won't be a huge amount of points on the card so I won't be taking advantage too much.
