Hi everyone, just to let you know, my local boots have been out of the choccies ssince last tuesday! Ive got 3 vouchers and have been in nearly every day to get my choccie fix. Today i phoned the boots help line and told them that i was unable to redeem the vouchers and they agreed to give me 750 points on my advantage card . Hope this helps anyone else dying for some choccies.
Interesting. Of course, if you were a person of low morals, you could phone 'em up and say you've got 4 or 5 vouchers you can't use, even if you didn't have any.

Thankfully no-one on here would do that.

  • can anyone help, just had a delivery from boots.com and the box is damaged and some of the items are. this is the third in a row delivery this has happened, i rang and complained about the first 2, and got replacement products for damaged items, although the second time the girl on the phone sounded skeptical as to whether this was the case, which has a) put me off ringing again and b) put me off ordering online again. do you think i may get better response if i write to them? i've tried emailing once before when i didn't get points on my card, but they said they never recieved that email, although i still have it in my sent items now, lol (must delete some one day!!)
does anyone else have problems with the parcels being damaged. the delivery man was very apologetic, he says the box had been resealed at there depot as it was half open. any ideas please?

Definitely complain! I ordered something for myself a few weeks ago that could easily have been meant for a gift - when it arrived the box for the item itself was in damaged condition.
I didnt bother complaining that time but last week the same thing happened. I ordered and got a damaged item inside the box. I wasn't offered a replacement as I had said it was intended for me but pointed out that if it had been for a gift it would have been unnacceptable. I was refunded my postage costs so it was worth letting them know.

I had a problem before too with a missing MP3 player in an order before Christmas - I expected a problem with it being an expensive item but they were fine and sent a replacement item straight away.

In my experience they are always helpful at Customer Care and in any case you're well within your rights to complain about a poor service. Bite the bullet 'cos if they arent aware of the problems they wont be taking steps to rectify them.

I hope it goes well if you decide to go for it.

    Hi
Went to Ek centre boots - no real sale items- no avene- pants ! Went ot Glasgow fort- no avene bags ( although have products) and their sale stuff is rubbish. However I took back a DR detox bath soak that I came out in a really bad reaction too and swapped it for some avene stuff ( used voucher) so had nothing to pay Plus got another voucher ! .I got the full £10 back for it- and I had used the discount of £5.Had to wait a while as manageress came to check things- but no way I was keeping the bath detox, it had myarms in a rash all night, definately dont but it. Going to try out my avene stuff instead.First time in all my life I took something back to Boots- so thanks to everyone for telling me- if I think of all the times over the years I have bought something and couldnt use it !

The Gloucester branch of Boots still has plenty of the 99p choccies left.(and the skincare vouchers) if that helps anyone. Can't find any Avene though...
  • thanks, decided to ring cs, got through, said parcel was damaged, third one in a row, and she said "what? again?" i said the parcel delivery man said it was poorly packaged when it got to them. she said is it the no7 stuff thats damaged, i said no, she said, oh i just assumed as thats the most expensive item. put the phone down, and my very next job is a letter to head office.

    HOW RUDE!!!!!

I used to be customer service agent in a vodafone call centre and I used to pride myself on being helpful and if the customer was unable to give me the details i needed to access their account I would always be helpful enough and tell them how to get their details and the correct number or procedure to call back.

A high percentage of calls are recorded for quality purposes in call centres, so write your letter and get a little comfort from the fact that a quality member could have been listening into that call and the person may be reprimanded, that's what i always do

Poole Boots still had some choccies this afternoon, on a display next to the tills. No sign of Eau Thermal Avene or related gift though. Still a couple of the kids soltan sets on the shelf.

    How rude
Did you get her name? Also is it possible to get the courier company to confirm the state of the parcel when it reached the depot?
Hope you get a better response from your letter than you did from the phone call.

Got my EI voucher-yipee! In boots East kilbride centre

Hi Cat72-lots of people at Ac machine probably MSErs. Bought 22 handwash and got £30 points or so. We like the handwash bought some last time there was points on it and we use about one a week so I would actually have bought more but not 108!

The Sa said there were no more choc/skincare vouchers but cheekily I asked at the pharmacy and got one.

Even stranger I took an electrical product back that had been on offer for 19.99 , I did not have the receipt and told the SA it had been 19.99 but he insisted it was 29.99 and made me have the extra £10 !! so my handwash was an even better bargain.

Now got £55 pounds on my card since early Jan and I have made sure I have bought only things I need.-well apart from two boxes of lindor chocs

    :)

only got her first name, but its a start, my letter is typed and ready to go in the post. really annoyed and quite upset to be honest. i wouldn't mind so much if it'd been the most expensive item each time, but last time it was 2 tubes of toothpaste that had split that i'd only ordered to make it free delivery.
