  • Hi Godiva

I think most posts will tell you that the clothes allowance has to go (sad news for me also, I cant walk past new Look without going in!). Do you have a blue badge for your car? Is the parking money for a residential permit?

Debt Balance Car £13,602.63 Provident £992.50 Parking/Traffic Fines £200!!
Moving Out Fund (savings) £0.86
  • Oh well will have to go naked - not a pretty sight at my age lol.
No I do not have blue badge etc. I can walk but not very far and my doc says I need a hip replacement too, but that I should wait as long as poss cos they only last about 15 years. So I am just putting up with it. The parking money is going to town carparks, hospital car parks etc.
  • Even as a coeliac I think £450 is way too much for 2 people. Have you tried to cut that down? The old style board can help there loads.
  • Thanks caroline - yes we have although we could reduce it further. Our cats cost us £10 a week on cheapest food and litter...
  • My mum's cat eats better than anyone I know, apparently she demands to fed like that!!!

You can some coeliac foods on prescription can't you? Does that work out cheaper with a prepayment certificate?

  • Yes we get bread and pasta on prescription, but its the hidden costs that mount up - usually all the cheap food eg sausages, breadcrumbed stuff, beef
burgers etc have gluten in them, so we have to pay more. Most of the special offers are this type of food. It soon mounts up

Try going to a local butcher for your meat because he will be able to tell you wants in the burgers and sausages because he is most likely making them himself.
  • Don't worry Horace - I laughed - I have more important things to worry about ...
