Moving Home - Royal Mail Redirection Service

2»

Comments

  • Mine took three weeks and lots of mail slipped through the net and got/gets delivered to my old address once the redirection was up and running. I have complained twice now and 2nd time the sent me 2 books of 6 first class stamps. However I would rather have all my mail redirected correctly than have the stamps.

Also my father had his redirected and mail and it was constantly delivered to his old address over the 1 year temporary redirection. They did give him one extra month free for his troubles but again he would of rather had the job done properly in the first place.

So I guess the service can be a bit "hit and miss" so I would make sure anything important is changed to new address asap.

Mine too took longer than promised to set up - allow at least 2-3 weeks.

Good advice about making the list of change of address - you'll be surprised how many companies you will have to tell. This way you simply use the redirection service as a catch all method.
