Can a single person do their grocery shopping online?

All the offers and codes I see are 'free delivery with orders over £50' or similar. On top of this, there is a minimum order of £25 or so anyway.
Is there any way I can get my groceries online when I just don't spend that much on food?

Do you have a big freezer or fridge? Perhaps you could shop fortnightly or monthly in order to get up to the £50 mark?Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0

I used to use it for bulk buying (still do now there's two of us), I don't drive so it was great for getting loads of tins of tomatoes, beans, cartons of juice, big pack of toilet rolls, washing stuff... Did this every other month or so.Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

Why the anger? I can understand that it's frustrating, but Tesco/Asda can't offer free delivery on small orders otherwise they would soon start losing money. Delivery can be as low as £4, it hardly breaks the bank, especially if you shop fortnightly. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
sorry that's not the anger rather frustration and £4 is a lot to us at the mo0

Try to do a fortnightly shop, then you may be able to get above that £50 limit and use the money off codes (although bare in mind that they often don't work anyway), or maybe see if a neighbour wants to split a shop with you.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
With Sainsburys spend £40 and get delivery from £3.50 or spend £100 and get free delivery on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, or theres iceland who do free delivery if you spend £25 or more so you could do say 2 - 3 weeks shopping, it would just mean you would have to spend time doing it, you buy items in bulk eg heavy items or bulky items you would have problems carrying0

I am a single mum with a 15 month old and I did a £50 shop with Asda. I do it monthly and bulk buy non perishables, staples and household items that i need and cant carry. I prefer to choose my own fresh food in store (and find i get better bargains that way).0

I'm single also, with a four year old son. I've just had an Asda delivery and it came to £57. The delivery charge was £4, which is about 50p more than it costs me to go by bus and £3 cheaper than when I accidentally go mad with heavy stuff and have to get a taxi home!
I take advantage of getting it delivered and stock up on heavy stuff, tins, spuds ect.
First time I did a shop a on line I worried it wouldn't come to £25 but it was way over.0
