These figures still don't make sense though, if Paypal are always going to take 1p of every 1p received then you always make a lose on the ebay fees no matter how many you sell, we must be missing something or people would do it.

Paypal cannot take more than the amount received, so a payment made of 1p can only cost 1p to receive maximum.

Really? Does this apply when making a transaction, not through eBay but from your an online store which accepts paypal as a payment method? I am setting up an online store for a local business and needed to test some payment settings, so created a product for £0.00 and got charged £0.20 fee!

It does work outside eBay. I was testing some subscriptions on my new forum so I set them up at 1p and it just came up in my account as 1p minus 1p fee so it just simply added nothing.

Imagine if the 20p transaction was applied regardless of the transaction amount, some of us (who have had ebay stalkers) would have a nightmare as it would mean that the stalker could put through hundreds of 1p transaction daily knowing the recipient was being charged 20p each to receive them!
