After school club £7.25 for 3.30-6 includes a light snack

Breakfast club £4 including cereat/toast. Opens at 7.30.

A lot of the primary's the breakfast club is run by staff/parents/volunteers and are a lot cheaper. At my sisters school they charge £1.

They can get full. I've been turned down more than once cos they have no spaces when I've asked for an additional session. Ours tend to lose some yr6's after easter/may half term as the parents start getting them used to walking to and from school by themselves. (no childcare for yr 7 + in this area) and September is not usually full due to the rest of the year 6's moved on.

A lot will depend on the way your LEA administers things. Our school dinners are £1.50 per day, but you pay for milk (if you want it) as soon as they start f-time school even if not 5 and both infants and juniors get a piece of free fruit.

The thing is with me is that i refuse to work for less than £4-50 per hour in my own house after hours that are really classed as late as such if you go by the 9-530 day, older kids come in and desicate the house and it is around 7pm by the time the house is sorted out and tidied, not worth it tbh..the little one i have is ony 2 days a week and i have her younger sister and they is good as gold but some are not and i am wary who i choose after previous experience!! least schoosl have more staff etc and cleaners!

My childminder has said she charges a flat rate of £15!!! I won't be using her then. Her whole day rate is £32, so I don't know where she gets £15 from.

well i charge as a rule for daily kids £4 per hour between 8 and 5pm and before or after is £4.50 so it would only be £4-50 for me if parents wanted till 6pm!£15 is very high but my friend is similar in fees!

I am not involved in childminding but I would guess that because of numbers you are allowed havign someone for after school may stop you from getting someone all day??? Just a thought...

No, she has three each day and then loads more turn up in the evening. Explains why she can afford three trips to Dubai each year whereas I go camping in Norfolk!
