pay day changes from april 2009

hiya,
are they starting to change things again now?
they recently changed my oh`s dla to monthly from fortnightly now, i checked the bank today and there a payment from dla its not quite half,
has anyone else`s changed or notice anything?

IS, IB, JSA, MA, SDA, BB's are to align at a minimum of fortnightly for new and repeat claimants initially. The payday will be based upon the last two digits on the NiNo, where for example last two digits up to 19 being Monday. Benefits not currently affected are CA, AA, DLA, IIDB.

Existing claimants will be "migrated" over the next 5 years. People affected and suffering hardship will be offered a recoverable one week loan.

Thanks for the heads up on this one. This month will be ultra-confusing as I've got half of my DLA disappearing because I'm due a Motability car, and then my IB payments will be moving from a Friday to a Tuesday too (at some point, possibly not this month).

*crosses fingers and hopes that none of the bills bounce on DD during the period that I have no clue about*

Got my letter today giving me 4 weeks notice of the change I'm not happy as I only managed to get it changed back to weekly in November I'm going to write to them again.

I was notified that my 4 weekly DLA and IB50 was being changed to 2 seperate payments; one on the normal 4 weekly friday, and the other (DLA I think) to be paid on the wednsday 2 days earlier why ???????????????????

But I checked my payments; 3 weeks ago it was 1 weeks DLA (higher rate mobilty) short; I left it 2 weeks before phoning; (well with new stuff )a week later I haven't heard what's happened to my £46.75 :cool:

Why can't the government just pay us calendar monthly; like people at work, so that we can organise our DD; if you ask the DWP they go on about each payment being different; I asked the "advisior" do they pay you for 31 or 28 days; or a 12th; my employers always paid me a 12th
