Everyone has their favourite brands. We still have some of our original appliances from when we did the kitchen 18 years ago.......a Miele oven and hob and a Siemens microwave/combi oven. They were expensive but good. If I could afford it I would get Miele, but all the stuff we have got recently has been Bosch. Pretty good quality and reasonable prices. For sinks and taps I would get Franke, ours still look like new after 18 years.0

We bought a Neff Cooker (Electric) & Hob (Gas) end of 2004 and the oven especially is great.
One of the settings is called circotherm and is great for cooking joints, steaks, sausages - you place the food on the grill pan (must be grill pan as there is a gap) and because of the way circotherm cooks you never turn the meat - it cooks quicker and it tastes delicious.
There are the usual traditional settings too, which seem to cook better/more efficiently than our previous one (Whirlpool).0 -
Another vote for Neff appliances from me.
We have a Neff double oven (one is a circotherm) and Neff dishwasher. I hope I'm not tempting fate when I report that they have been working trouble free for 10 years.;)10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j [/COLOR]:cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. go for bosh, baumatic cda are good but there limited styles(there made by zanussi0

My house was built 12 years ago. All integrated Neff appliances. All except the dishwasher still going strong.
The dishwasher was replaced 2 months ago, so still not bad for something that goes on twice a day.0 -

I thought CDA was independent, i.e. a group on it's own? Looking at some of their appliances for our new kitchen as prices seem OK, seem to be more of a trade company than consumer0 -
I have bought indesit washing machines (on my second as I left last one in last property, still going strong), as did my parents and am astounded by the lengevity of them - no maintenance and no repairs over decades - cheap too0

Don't buy SMEG stoves - they look lovely and are very solid, but they go wrong and outside of the 1 year guarantee they cost a fortune to repair.0

Argh - Don't say that - I've just bought a smeg range from MFI. Have I made a mistake?0
