Lambeth's ISA (45days notice) seems to be offering good rate including the 6months bonus. I am not impressed by the customer service though as I requested information by email last week and so far hasnt received a response yet. Anyone use them at all?

I transferred an ISA to them last month, they were on the ball as I only lost 3 days interest on the transfer.
A couple of months ago, I was in London & popped into one of their branches. First impressions didn't give the appearance of Marks & Sparks, more like a happy shopper !0 -
I had an ISA with them a few years ago which operated under their Simply Postal umbrella (slightly higher interest rate). No problems cashing it in when I needed the money but you will need the pass book!!0

The Lambeth B S have an escalator bond which matures 15 Jan 04.
You might think that you would be able to get your capital and interest returned to you on that date.
Not with the terms & conditions that the Lambeth employ you won't. That is uinless you were savvy enough with the ways of the Lambeth to have given the 90 days notice that you wanted your capital back on the day the bond matured................................I have put my clock back....... That's rather a long time ago, RS. I think your notice should have expired by now, even if you didn't give it until the maturity date.

I have a notion that RS meant 15 Jan 05. Perhaps he had other thing on his mind at the time. e.g.. Armistice Day................................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0

I have a notion that you have a good idea of what RS was thinking, PR. Unless your memory is typical of those of your generation

Has anyone noticed the intruiging fact that, if you change your username, it is updated on all forums, but when you REPLY to the post, the original name is shown on the original posts?
Furthermore, if you click the poster's new name, their old name is shown as their username.
Most odd!0 -
When I mentioned RS I was thinking of Robert Shilling not Robert Sterling ???...............................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0

Now I'm getting confused.
Robert Sterling = Robert Shilling = Pale Rider?
Isn't the Pale Rider meant to be the "man with no name"?0 -
This week I'm Glad. Perhaps you realised that................................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0
