Tesco SIM - which tariff?

I have pretty much established that Tesco would be a usuful PAYG service for my wife's very low usage. She only ever calls 3 numbers so the Tesco service would work well however, the Value SIM seems to have an offer (£10 credit for £5) which would last her for a while.. (she is currently on easy Mobile and the 75p fines for low usage will empty her account soon).

My question is whether (after the initial credit is used or maybe earlier) one can switch from the Value SIM to the ordinary tariff which has the three half price numbers???
