Just to say my £1.99 chicken was delicious.

First meal Roast Chicken for two.

Second meal Chicken and Bacon with Pasta for two.

Third meal Chicken Casserole for two.

Fourth meal Chicken treats for 2 Dogs and 3 cats.

Should have bought two darn it.

Can I point out that no matter how well the chicken is reared, it's still slaughtered to provide food. I do agree though that usually free range/organic chickens are tastier although the added expense reflects this. People who can't afford them usually don't have brand goods in their trolley which they can downgrade to balance the cost to enable them to buy free range meat. To a struggling family, this offer would be a godsend, especially if you can feed 6 adults, 2 dogs and 3 cats like pseudopensioner!!

I think this post was for informative purposes. If you want to buy the chickens, you can, if you don't, you can leave them and discuss animal welfare somewhere more relevant.

People are free to find out about animal welfare if they want to, people don't need to have the stuffed rammed down their throats (please excuse the non-intended pun).

Well i am cooking my second and third chicken (in my life ever) as we speak. On sale at supermarket £4 each or 2 for £5.
The chicken was on sale and if you bought 3 it took the multisave discount off aswell. 57p each cheap as chicken.was worth it at that price even if i just wanted the breast meat. boyf was suitabley ammused. Always remember tesco and sommerfield still take multisave off reduced stock
