Why is it that every forum I go on when some dares to mention cheap meat that people always go on about the welfare or the life of the animal.
That is not why it was posted it has been posted to help someone else. And if you want to discuss cheap meat and the welfare of animal please take it over to the moneysaving arms.
Mind you I bet you wear clothes and don't even think about where that was made and by whom and how much that cost. And household goods that are not made in this country but in the far east for next to nothing. But that does not stop you from buying the goods.
Thought not.

HERE HERE
There were half price beef burgers, pies, pizas, Chicken pops and ice cream on offer at my tesco's, this has been going on for the last week or more.
Some of us dont want your opinions stuffed down our throats ......... so the best place to discuss the offending subject is in the MSE Arms ...... where u will get a better responce.
I, for one, cant afford to pay £4 per chicken ....... so it suets me perfect!
Thanks opp!!MSE:-)MoneySpendingExpert (-:0 -
I thought the point of this website was to SAVE money?!
What's so wrong with meat bought from Tesco?? If you don't like it you don't have to buy it, stick to your 'free range' products, and if you were that bothered about the chickens in the first place you would'nt be eating them.Pole Dancer In Training :rotfl:

Sorry I've got to ask the question, WHY? I do have a dyson but don't have a problem with 1/2 price meat.
Please reveal the reason!!

It is called writing another reply to another thread on on another forum while writing a reply to this thread and copying and pasting. And then getting caught on the pc while I should have been getting my husband lunch so I pressed submit it was not until later that I realised my random question was in there.
So ignore it. But please do all have a laugh at my expense.

I have mixed feelings on welfare of meat, well anything really.
I keep chickens and personally only buy free range meats where i can afford too. All chicken I buy is free range, if I cant afford it I go without. Thats my choice. I will only purchase British pork due to the conditions the animals are kept in abroad. Again my choice.
I truly understand that people cant afford free range meats which can work out alot more pricey compared to the offer prices. But i think somewhere something has got to be done. I feel i use my consumer soveignty when i purchase a free range chicken.. as far as i can see thats 1 less intensivly reared chicken produced, cutting down the demand for this product. 1 chicken isnt alot compared to the thousands/millions produced but to that 1 chicken its a lifetime difference.
But then I am willing to buy clothes that im almost sure are made in sweatshops etc. Why? I dont share the same passion as i do with meat rearing.
I think this argument can never be resolved, you either buy/eat it or dont, but as living standards increase who knows what will happen in the future.

Going slightly off thread..... Morrisons are doing frozen 2.8k chickens (with the little tractor on) at £2.99 which is probably better value.
I know that's a bit big for most but there's always the curry !!I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!

This website is all about getting revenge on companies making abnormal profits. Buying cheap meat is about contributing to an industry that abuses the lives of animals
don't kid yourself and walk around with your eyes and ears shut. Do some research on what the animals go through before it gets to your dinner plates.
and drop the 'its nice you can choose' rubbish - the difference between cheap and free range chicken is about £2-3 for a couple of breasts. You can save that by avoiding all those branded goods in your shopping basketam I missing something ??0 -
