Natwest say they received my cheques, sent by Nationwide on the 7th May, on the 19th May and that they will be credited in the next couple of days. She randomly said the Inland Revenue give us a certain amount of time to complete the transaction.

Mine came through today, heres the timeline.

    - [03rd May] Transfer letter given to branch
    - [19th May] Money taken out of the Halifax direct saver isa and account shown as closed
    - [21st May] Money arrives in Natwest E-ISA account that I already had setup

Overall pretty impressed with the service, finally I can get monthly interest shown again :) Seems I'm getting the good interest rate as well. Not bad at all going from 0.5% Halifax to 3.5% Natwest :P

You do realise that 3.5% is now 2.5%!

Not if the account was opened (rather than funded) on or before the 14th May and the transferred funds bring the balance to £10,000+

    Had a similar experience.

    Transferred from LloydsTSB to NatWest.

Money taken from Lloyds account on the 18th May appeared in the new NatWest one on the 21st.

From the statement note seems it was sent via BACS rather than cheque.

  • Glad I found this forum - it seems to me that transfers from Nationwide seem to take a good couple of weeks? I transfered 2 isas, both closed on 8th. One from egg was credited on 18th but nothing yet for the Nationwide transfer (the larger amount, naturally). Seems I'm just going to have to wait for next week. Don't like it when the money is in limbo! Not surprised though that everyone has transferred from Nationwide though, their rates are shockingly low in comparison!

Popped my transfer forms into Natwest today to transfer from Egg ISA to natwest E-ISA.

By the looks of things, it could be a couple of weeks. Thats ok, as long as it gets there. This will be my 1st ISA transfer.
