Meant to add, when the interim death certificate has been issued by the Coroner, do not be put off by the word "interim" or by anyone who refuses to accept it - it is a legal document and if you have any problems with bank / DWP/ pension company / life insurers etc, ask your Coroner's office staff to write to them to confirm that it is an acceptable legal document.
The actual death certificate will be issued by your registrar's office after the Coroner has given his verdict. There is a Code of Practice for Coroners, which gives guidelines on the way you are informed of the process - please speak to their office if you are in need of any advice.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Didn't want to read and run but wanted to send my condolences to you and your family at this sad and difficult time.
Just a thought and purely an assumption, the burial will take place before the inquest, therefore the cause of death will remain undetermined at the time the funeral takes place so surely a vicar/priest couldn't refuse the burial on the basis of the yet to be held coroner's inquest.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -

It is ancient and outdated superstition. In days gone by they wouldn't even allow burial of newborn babies on the grounds that they were 'sinners'. Poor little things had had no time to sin against anybody!
Members of the Nonconformist churches - Methodists, Baptists, Quakers etc - have for centuries been barred from burying in so-called 'consecrated' ground, but they sleep in peace just the same. The most famous example is Bunhill Fields in London. Some very saintly people are buried in 'unconsecrated' ground. Was talking to our minister only recently because she had been asked why she conducted a funeral in a 'green' burial ground and we'd told her this is what we want. Her answer? 'The earth is the Lord's. There is no such thing as consecrated or unconsecrated ground. The Lord will know where to look for His own'.

That is so true margaretclare. My mother was buried in unconsecrated ground in the local cemetry, as I understand it local authority cemetries are consecrated by the Church Of England, so people with no faith or other faiths (my mother was a Catholic) are buried in unconsecrated ground.margaretclare wrote: »Her answer? Sorry to here about your sister Amysmum, please try to ignore these so-called do-gooders, the idea of not burying suicides in a churchyard is very outdated, have a word with your vicar/priest or the funeral director I'm sure they'll be able to put your mind at rest.Dum Spiro Spero0 -
Sorry to hear about your sister you must be heartbroken, I agree with other posters, some people just love to cause greif wherever they can, take no notice of them speak to the people who can help and I hope it all goes as well as these things can. Look after yourself and your mum and if you need any support there are people on these boards who can be there for you x0

Tell the do gooders to go and do one. bluddy people.
Sorry for you loss.
Like the others have said go and see the vicar / who ever is in charge of the churchyard and talk direct to them, maybe before you go write down your thoughts / what you want to talk about / ask, that way if you or your mother gets upset you will have some thing to help you.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Even if it were true, I believe that coroners / doctors used to be careful in what they said to get round the problem. We had a friend who took an overdose, but I think the inquest said death by misadventure because it wasn't definitely clear he intended to do it as he didn't leave a note.Signature removed for peace of mind0

Amysmom. i am so sorry for your loss, it must have been a real shock for you and your family. There are always people in this life ready to kick people when they are down, you will really find out who your friends are in times like these. Go and speak to the vicar of the church and im sure he will put your mind at ease. xx0
