With all due respect, there was absolutely no need for the above comments. You don't know where OP is accessing the net from, and they have already clearly stated that they 'have no money for stamps'.

And yes, it doesn't take stamps to walk into the local supermarket to ask for a job, which is sound advice - however, it's over shadowed by your first comment though

So sorry to hear about your bad luck. Please go straight away to the DWP on Monday early morning to apply for a Crisis Loan. Take the last three months bank statements etc with you to prove your bank account. Apply straight away for JSA, you and your husband need to make saperate claims. Is your husband able claim against his car insurance company???????
