Nokia 6300 from Virgin

Anybody got the above from Virgin? Just received mine this morning and was surprised to notice there is a mark inside the screen. I thought it was a scratch on the screen, but it looks definitely like an odd mark inside the screen. You can only see the mark when the screen is blank and you try to write a tx. I have phoned virgin and they told me to send the phone back and I do not the hassle of having to do that in case it got lost in the post etc. I am just wondering whether it is a defect on the screen or it is like that and whether I might have problem with the screen later on. I would appreciate some advice. Thanks.

Send it back special delivery - Virgin are very good at replacing phones. Had one replaced within 3 days in the past. New one was sent out the same day as they received it.

if you have phoned virgin they will of told you that they will provide a pre paid return bag. If you want recorded or special delivey then you would need to pay the extra. Don't forget you only have 28 days so don't dilly dally

Send the defected mobile phone ASAP through special delivery by paying some extra money instead get a new phone.

I bought this phone today - virgin pay as you go. I too have a mark on the screen that is about the size of an eyelash and curves "(" like what I have put in quotes but more at an angle. It is just below centre of the screen?

I was planning a trip back into town tomorrow :mad: to return it but my OH has changed the operator logo from virgin to something else and that seems to have solved it. I guess you have already returned your phone and it might have been the case that your phone was faulty in any event.

as i said you need to phone virgin to order the csg jiffy bag to return, you have 28 days from day of purchase to return (much better than most other mobile companies). you DO need to book the return, the csg bag has the correct address to send returns to & is pre-paid. If you do not follow the correct procedure for returns it could have an effect on wether or not your return is accepted as a csg return. the csg bag will also have relevent information the return centre needs in order to process the exchange/refund

thnx for this, I will remember this as it may be useful if a customer calls in with this issue
