£210 to change a light bulb!!
I have just been down to my local Vauxhall dealer to have a zenon light bulb changed on my 04 Corsa, as the manual says it needs to be done at the garage. To my Horror the bulb cost £155 and they want labour of £55  . How outragious. Has anyone got any sudgestions on anyway of getting it cheaper?

Dont use your Vauxhall Dealer? Go to a little place that needs some dough - although by the sounds of it its still going to be quite expensive if the part is £155.0

On some cars, these Xenon lights are an optional extra ... in essence, they rip you off to have them in the first place, and then charge you silly prices to replace the bulbs. I'll stick to normal lights ... they do the job perfectly well.If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0

Wingnuts, have a look at this website, I dont know exactly what bulb you need but most Xenon headlight bulns seem to be around £15-£30.
Buy it there then go to the garage and ask them to fit it.

If they are standard fit H7 or H4 bulbs as I seem to find googling corsa 2004 headlight ............ You must be able to just fit a cheaper bulb 155 pounds sounds rediculous. I don't see any reason why you should not be able to fit cheaper xennon from a motor factors or just normal basic bulbs for 5 pounds each.
There was also a guy on Ebay selling them for 16 pounds.
I don't understand it
I'd also at least take a look at what is "in the way" to stop you changing the bulb yourself. Changing a bulb is a simple task, and removing what is there shouldn't be that difficult!
Post a photo of your bulb and your engine bay please. Obviously you have not got your bulb out yet I suppose. Maybe the bulb type is listed in the Haynes manual specs & techs.0 -
Just beware of fake car parts, bulbs won't be too much of a problem, but if it's the brakes you buy...0

Hi - I don't know if they sell Xenon bulbs but Halfords will fit a headlight bulb at £4.99 each provided you buy the bulb from them which is fair enough. Also they will price match other suppliers within 20 miles.0
