Gold - Who Thinks It Will Not Go Higher

The gold price seems to be going down recently (last week). Now about £600/oz.
Is there anyone whom thinks it cannot do anything but go up over the next 12 months?
I know nothing about gold apart from seeing loads of tips suggesting it will go up, mostly citing the worst is yet to come with fiat currencies.

Trying to predict the unpredictable is futile.
The minute you start seeing lots of tips telling you to buy, the contrary view should be taken more often than not.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Next bubble IMHO. And I reckon the man in the street will be worst hit as the professionals pile out first.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0

Not wishing to be a Victor Meldrew but do we have to start a new Gold thread everythime someone thinks of a new question / opinion / information. I'll admit I'm a gold bug but surely we could have tagged this one on to the end of a previous discussion.
Perhaps the OP can rename the title to be 'Gold - Everything you wanted to know or ask' and then we can just add to the wealth of Gold knowledge or mystery, or conspiracy, or balderdash :-)

The good thing about the gold price going down is that it offers you the opportunity to buy it more cheaply at a future stage.
But, clearly the conditions for a gold surge are not yet here.
Best thing to do is research what it is that causes the price of gold to rise and fall and then you'll be better placed to judge when to buy, when to hold and when to sell.0 -

Could say won't be massive falls. But have no idea how much further it'll rise if at all?0 -

My personal feeling would be it's going to fall, and significantly. It really wasn't that long ago that it was dirt cheap, and I suspect it'll go below $500 ultimately.
Just my feeling, and I expect to be totally wrong, but as I read on another post in another thread: "Better to be out of a deal wishing you were in, than in a deal wishing you were out"Doing my best as a contrarian investor...property, banking...let's see how it goes0 -
will the IMF sell their gold ?0

My view..............I am expecting a pullback in the (very) near future, possibly already started, and probably linked to the confirmation of the US stimulous package - money will start to flow in to equities again (this is not to say equities will continue to rise) but................. longer term Q3 onwards I am expecting (hoping) for Au to rise again.
My only concern is figuring out my exit strategy.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True
