bring back walnut whips, bubbly bubble gum, black jacks & cremola foam

Walnut whips still exist but guess what....there is no half walnut anymore at the bottom of the inside!

...or was that a special edition?

    Which ones are those Stevie?

I was accused by !!!!!!? of being chuckie, until I pointed out that I would have had to go back in time to create him (chuckie joined about a year or so before I did). I have also been accused of being really (and really1 and really2), you and many other people who were once newbies and are now regulars.

It seems that when we were in the little sub-board, I was the only one who dared speak out against !!!!!!? and his domination of the forum, so when newbies who had the same views as me appeared, they were all accused by !!!!!!? of being my alternate logons. The ego of the man stopped his mind from believing that, yes, other people other than myself do think he's a prat.

I still maintain that as I have my DD ANONYMOUS username, I don't require another ANONYMOUS username to disguise my original ANONYMOUS username. I leave that to the sad characters like carolt, who I notice has dragged our little tiff onto another thread, perhaps seeking help from her pal, !!!!!!?

Anyway, welcome back !!!!!!, we erm missed you. :rotfl:

    Aha!

Just can't keep away, can you.

If, as you claim, I was on ignore, you'd have no idea what I was posting.

But you just couldn't let it lie, could you? :rotfl:

My fav was that women with two BTL's (I think it was in Brighton) asking for advice, had them all going that one :rotfl:

Not me I'm afraid. If I wanted a row about BTL, I'd simply use this username and go to it. Actually, i caught a lot of flack from our BTL community when I suggested it was for 'mug punters' and that I couldn't see why anyone would choose the hassles of BTL when better returns could be gotten from the stock market, without worry about unrented periods, boilers breaking, squatters, gas & electrical checks, insurance, etc, etc.

All done on my lovely DD logon :)

In all fairness DD probably took that from !!!!!!'s quoting your earlier post:

Yep, and I read her latest crappy post in your 'quote'. It seems that carolt is desperate to get me into an argument and simply cannot abide the fact that I now have her on ignore.

No doubt the increasingly frantic/insane carolt will soon be accusing you of being one of my 'sock puppets'. :rotfl:

Nah, if I had done it I would have made the OP into an asylum seeker who was hiding his/her BTL empire from the tax man while simultaneously claiming all the benefits I could get my hands on. Naturally I'd be living in a 5 bed council house with my 10 children.

That'd get a much stiffer reaction from the HPC nutters :)

To be honest though, I'm just not into arguing for argument's sake. I won't shy away from a tussle, but as I've shown with my diligent use of the Ignore button, I can't be bothered just trading abuse backwards and forward with no point to it. A heated discussion on an interesting topic is one thing, arguing over nothing is just plain dull and not very challenging.

I just wanted to point out, for the record, that all the talk of alternative usernames makes me want to weep tears of pure sadness and despair. Please stop. It makes you all look about 7 years old.

Still, here's a good link warning of the consequences of the dumb policies now being pursued with the stated goal of 'saving' the economy:

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/comment/liamhalligan/4547805/Our-economy-is-being-held-to-ransom-by-deflation-fear.html

We're headed into uncertain times. Normally I'd feel happy enough sitting on a decent amount of savings but what is unfolding and the way in which governments are responding to it makes me very, very uneasy.

Here is a counter argument from Paul Krugman

    http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/02/04/about-that-deflation-risk/

    http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/01/10/risks-of-deflation-wonkish-but-important/

    Deflation Risk

If Krugman's right - then the policies are not so dumb.
