Hi, I wondered if anyone can help me. I sent my claim to Natwest in November 2007. I recieved a letter back saying that they were just starting the test case blah blah and so I accepted that I would have to wait. I was also sent a letter about 7 months ago saying they were still doing the test case but I have since heard nothing. Am I alone in having to wait this long or has anyone else had to?
Should I be getting on to them and demanding my charges back after all this time????
Would be grateful for any advice please.
Many thanks,
Caroline

Nothing has changed, the test case is still going on.
Unless you are in a position to claim ‘hardship’, you will have to wait (like everyone else).
Shouting (using ‘bold’ typeface) will not help!0 -
Carolinamoon1982, I'm in the same position as you - this waiting game is getting boring! I technically do qualify for the hardship but Lloyds TSB and Alliance and Leicester both wrote back saying no they aren't participating in that? So have sent them another letter warning them I will be contacting the Financial Ombudsman if I don't get a satisfactory response - maybe try that?
Edited to add: I don't see how using 'bold' type face is shouting, it is 'usually' using CAPITALS.. and comments like that don't really help either

The FOS have about 9-14 months as a typical delay in dealing with complaints. So, that may not speed anything up.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). There is no point 'demanding' your charges back when it hasn't yet been proved in court that the banks need to pay them back at all - just sit tight, and wait, like the rest of us.0

Thank you very much for your replies, I will sit tight and wait then!
For those who thought I was 'shouting' or 'demanding' my money back, I wasn't. I was simply asking a question as was unsure whether this was a normal time frame to wait and the bold writing was nothing more than me fiddling around with the settings!
Thanks for the decent response from others!
