    Norton does this as far as i know. Unfortunately i know very little!!! It shows as firewall on.
  • as a side note i meant to ask - never used ccleaner before - do i just click analyse - run ccleaner and just remove everything it finds as there seems to be a lot - 1525mb to be removed whic are mainly temp internet files?!?

    yes you click analyse and it will find all the stuff to remove then you click run ccleaner

    looking at the new HJT log, you need to fix all those (mainly) casino entries which have file miising at the end of them...

    Also, use CCleaner's registry scanner to clean up the old registry entries - I suspect there will be many going on how much the cleaner got rid of....

    Update your java to the latest, then remove old ones via add/remove programs.......

    you also need to go to windows update and get service pack 3 and any other priority updates.....

    I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D
