Slow running PC

Hi

My PC has been running slow so id a scan with Spybot S&D which picked up a trojan. Now - i thought i would have been protected against this - but alas i wasnt.

Ive rescanned and it isnt finding anything - ive also used malwarebytes

I do need to spend some time deleting things i know longer use.

You have well over 100 items in the log -I have 22 in mine.
You should go throu any progs that you use and stop them from starting when windows starts, there should be an option in each prog. You can use the tools in ccleaner to disable items from starting.
Has the casino taken over or is it norton?
How many toolbars do you need?
Any items you don't recognise just google and depending on results and if you use item either keep or fix with hjt.
Are you on dialup? Are you using agv and norton?

thanks for your repsonse - been away hence the delay.
Ive removed some things not used so much ich as freed p,e ace on my hard drive- ie cassino's etc (all there to build up some nice cashback etc!)

I use Norton (i know everyone here hates it) - ive removed Avg

no i not on dial up? Im currently trying to sort what opens on start up

Is there nothing of any particular cause of concern then? Its still slow as!!!

I see you have Limewire installed - you are aware that the use of this programme can increase the risk of being infected.

Have you scanned your system with Malware Bytes, I see you have it installed, update it and run a full scan.

Thanks for that - yeah ive done a full scan with it and i understand the risks that are there with Limewire.

Still deleting stuff but there doesnt seem to have been any increase in speed.

well currently scanning but has found trojan cws/iesh which is a different one to the one i had earlier in the week - currently scanning so will do that then post hjt log. Oh and thanks for helping.

Switch off/uninstall AOLs 'anti spyware' program
Uninstall all the toolbars you dont need (AOL, YAHOO, LIVE etc)

Id suggest NOT using PCPITSTOP
